Professor Trump Fails American History

The Damage Report host John Iadarola is joined by Brett Erlich, host of TYT’s Happy Half Hour, to break down Friday’s top stories.

Despite not having jurisdiction over school curriculum, Trump announces the creation of the 1776 Commission to promote “patriotic education”. A judge in Washington State has ruled that the changes to the Post Office brought by Postmaster DeJoy constitute, “an intentional effort on the part of the current Administration to disrupt and challenge the legitimacy of upcoming local, state, and federal elections.” A former Pence aide and member of the Coronavirus task force has said she will vote for Joe Biden. The NYT reports CDC testing guidelines saying people without symptoms don’t need to get tested for COVID-19 was published against scientists’ objections. It’s time to take out the trash! Find out who John, Brett and you (yes, you!) picked as the Garbage Person of the week.

"WASHINGTON — President Trump escalated his attacks on “left-wing demonstrators” and “far-left mobs” on Thursday, portraying himself as a defender of American heritage against revolutionary fanatics and arguing for a new “pro-American” curriculum in the nation’s schools.

Speaking at the National Archives Museum, Mr. Trump vowed to counter what he called an emerging classroom narrative that “America is a wicked and racist nation,” and he said he would create a new “1776 Commission” to help “restore patriotic education to our schools.” The president reiterated his condemnations of demonstrators who tear down monuments to historical American figures, and he even sought to link the Democratic presidential nominee, former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., to the removal of a founding father’s statue in Mr. Biden’s home state, Delaware."
