With the global death toll from COVID-19 nearing 1 million, mass vaccinations remain unlikely until mid-2021, according to health experts.

An ideal vaccination would protect about 70% of those who are vaccinated, but the current minimum standard is 50%. Children may be last in line to receive a vaccine as none of the ongoing clinical trials include kids. While some health experts say it’s not a problem, others argue that it is because children can infect adults.
